Forum Guidelines
Restrictions In compliance with Proboards Terms of Service, we are a PG-13 rated site. However, due to the nature of this rp, and its content, we only allow members that are 16+ to join this forum and its discord. Please be truthful, as lying won't be any help to making you a better member!!
Due to being PG-16 we ask that all mature topics be kept off of the forum and discord. This includes sexual content of any kind, mentions of drugs/alcohol, and any sort of adult content. If you have to ask yourself if you should post it, oftentimes you shouldn’t do so.
We like keeping TDP a safe place for everyone to enjoy writing and hanging out. Because of this, we do ask that religious beliefs are not debated, political conversations are kept off of the server, and anything that could be considered ‘controversial’ kept in direct messages with willing parties. We are more than welcoming to anyone of any background but we are here to simply write and talk about the plots of the site as well as have fun and enjoy ourselves and have a nice little community to talk with! Accounts There is only one account allowed per person. Characters will be made or linked back to in the threads, and no one is permitted more than one account. If you need help deleting your account, or editing it, please contact an admin or moderator. Member Conduct Follow the Golden Rule. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
If you are caught blatantly bullying another of the community, you will be immediately banned. If you know of someone who is bullying or are being bullied, please let the staff know! We do not tolerate this in any way.
We have a discipline chart for reference on what violation of our rules on the forum and discord will entail.
We highly encourage you to have a discord account and join our discord. We do a lot of our announcements and general site updates there unless it's a large one that needs to go on the forum. You do not have to actively participate in the discord but being there for small updates and knowing what is going on plot wise is always nice and we highly recommend you join! And you can plot a lot easier with others via the discord.

Discord Rules
Basic Rules - 1️⃣ Always respect your peers and their opinions, never start drama over religion, race, gender, culture etc.
2️⃣ No spamming in any of the channels.
3️⃣ Ask for an admin if you require assistance or to report a problem.
4️⃣ Do not argue with the admins of this server. 3 strikes and you're out.
5️⃣ No hate speech of any kind - Is this server for you? 1. This server is strictly 16+!!! (This is both for social and legal reasons. Sorry, no exceptions.)
2. Adult themes and language will occur. Our members worlds range from lighthearted and funny to dark and serious. (We do NOT tolerate harassment or hatespeech)
3. We do not require members to stay on a schedule. Sessions and posts can be hosted at any time of day. Our members live all over the world. If you happen to have an unusual or inconsistent schedule, it's not a problem here.
4. Dedicated times of 'live' rps will happen from time to time depending on an availability of the members.
Concept An animal based server that hosts three main types of rp, Script, Paragraph, and Multi-page. We mainly run as a feral canine based rp, but other feral animals are welcome to join! - What does this mean? Script style tends to be the shortest, and more casual. It is seen throughout the internet sometimes even on twitter threads, instagram posts, and private messages! This style of rp is great for beginners, as well as more advanced writers wishing to spit ball plots. This style tends to be quick, snappy, and can offer a lot of creative options. Ex. Kara shyly looks away. "Hi..." She said in a soft whisper, fiddling with the edge of her shirt.
Paragraph style rps tend to be longer, more long form, and require much more thought and foresight to execute. A paragraph rp is just that- a rp told in multiple paragraphs. The style can either be preformed in play by post, or similar to the script style as adding in segments as they come to you in a live session. The paragraph style, most importantly, benefits from CONSENT of all parties involved. Planning and working together is the best way to go about this style of play. Ex. A woman stands in the center of the plain, unfurnished room. Her appearance is veiled by an indescribable fog, letting only her outlines and actions be visible; she appears to be of average size, and her arms, resting on either side of her body, allow her hands to tug nervously at the bottom of her shirt. "Hi..." she says in a timid voice.... And etc etc
Multi-page style is only play by post, and needs a dedicated plot along with dedicated members. This style can stretch on for many months, and top out at word counts reaching thousands within the first week. This style isn't the most encouraged, as entering into a group of multi-page session often means a lot of planning involved.
In Conclusion Just be nice and respectful! If you're confused about something, ask, we've all been there. This is a welcoming community, and I'm here to make sure of that To Verify on the sever- Name: Pronouns: Age: Bio:

Roleplay Rules Generalized Rp Rules (There are exceptions to almost all of these as long as everyone agrees prior to it)
1. It is recommended you try to match length 2. No meta gaming. 3. No God modding. 4. No controlling other people's characters. 5. No OOC chat in the IC channels. 6. If there are parties that agree to kill a character(s), inform a mod and we will monitor a character's death scene. 7. After your character's death, you will be asked to make another. If you want to bring back a character, you will have to discuss with the mods on how you want to bring back a character in the help-desk channel. 8. If your characters are going to do something nsfw, please take it off server. We don't endorse NSFW rps here and follow discord TOS. 9. Reply to the person you are currently RPing with to avoid confusion, use threads if multiple characters are in different locations. 10. No auto-hitting. 11. If there is a scene you would like to join, please ask the people in current scene before you are allowed to join. 12. Your character can only appear at one location at a time.
Character or Npc?
In this server we have two main classifications for making the denizens of this universe. Character VS Npc.
A character is controlled only by one person, with a thorough backstory, physical appearance, and connections to the world. Characters can only belong to one person at a time, although can be traded. Characters are the 'main' driving force of the plot, and hold precedence over npcs. They are simply valued more by the plot, and its demands.
A npc is controlled by multiple people and mods. An npc does not need a fleshed out backstory, physical appears, or connections, although it is encouraged. Npcs can belong to multiple people, or as community based props for a story. Examples of npcs might include: Police officers, dog catchers, other wild animals, prey animals, owners, random pets. Npcs die and live based on need, and don't have as much 'value' to the plot as characters. An npc can be created along with characters, and often coincide.
Character Creation Rules - 1. When creating a character, we ask you that you do not make your character over powered (OP.) If we find that your character violates this rule, you will be asked to change it accordingly. If you fail to change, your character will be declined and unable to participate in the roleplay with character. 2. There is no limit on how many characters you may have in the roleplay, but it is recommended that you have a minimum of two characters. After you have submitted your character, the mods will review them. They will marked with either "Approved" or "Declined", if your character has been declined, revert to rule #1. 3. If you are creating a character that you would like have something special (mutations etc) ask a mod before implementing these features. 4. Follow the Biography Template, but feel free to add any extra sections if you wish. 5. If you are having trouble making your biography, ask a mod and we will happily assist you. 6. Always check the canon character list in the Discord group incase of double names and face claims. 7. Please have fair character stats!
Improving Roleplay There are other very effective ways to learn and improve your skills. Here are two other methods: - Observe: Personally, I've learned a lot from simply observing other characters. I'll often go into OOC mode and simply watch how other characters interact with each other, and learn different approaches to roleplay. Later, I'll try them out, and see if they work for me! Experimentation is key.
- Ask: Don't be afraid to ask for help! If you're confused on how your character would react, or how your environment would affect your character, ask someone! Most of the time, players give useful input and tips on how to better your roleplay. Players can be useful resources. Use them.

Combat Rules - Combat is often something we discourage between members as it can often lead to disagreements and infighting. However, inter character combat is often an important element in canine rps, as well as more realistic based ones. We do have a series of rules to keep fairness as the number one priority for combat, and understand that it can be used to create a fictional social order within the story. General Rules: 1. Do not godmod. 2. Do not autohit- this is what the dice bot is for. 3. Do not control another persons character. 4. Abide by realistic physics. 5. Don't kill or seriously injure another character without the person's permission first. 6. Do not add extreme gore. - The AA Rule The AA rule stands for 'Always Attempt.' This is one of the most important rules when in a combat rp situation. Take it literally, and take it seriously. This rule means that whenever you are attacking your opponent, you must always use an attempt format. - Strengths & Weaknesses One of the most common things players have trouble with in combat roleplay is remembering their character's weaknesses and strengths. If you've fleshed out your character and given considerable thought to her or his personality and traits, you should know the weaknesses and the strengths that your character possesses. However, it's quite easy to forget about these abilities. Combat roleplay can be a stressful situation, especially if it involves a large number of people. If you have trouble remembering these abilities, I recommend that you write them down on a slip of paper and take that piece of paper out whenever you're roleplaying.
When choosing how your character reacts (or instigates) to a situation, it's important to remember the physical traits about your character. Injures, old scars, trauma, and everything inbetween will affect a combat situtation. - Consent The most important rule of all, combat or otherwise, is consent. Consent to rp a combat scene, consent to hurt another character, and above all, a general feel that everyone involved is okay with this. People can often try and take control of another character, bully, or harass using combat, and we allow none of this here. Have fun! Improvise! Make stuff up! We are here for fun.
Above all Else If you come to a disagreement within combat, simply use a dice rolling format. Roll for AC at the start using a d20, this is how high of a roll the other character will have to beat in order to hit your character. Roll for your hit, and if a pass yay! You successfully preformed your action. If fail, then try again! Roleplay whatever comes next and follow the pass or fail.

The Dog Park
☽ ────────── ☽ In the middle of Wyoming wilderness an unethical laboratory was built to start producing "dire canines" genetically engineered pets that server as the animal equivalent of super soldiers in home security. The lab was successful for many years in contributing to multiple new combat breeds, a resurgence of an exotic coywolf, and various other assignments brought in by wealthy investors. Until a forest fire hit the facility. The facility went up in smoke as it's isolated location near Yellowstone made calling the authorities virtually impossible. The place was subsequently abandoned, it's remains a ghost field of old experiments and a facility half burned to the ground. However, something never left the facility. A group of engineered canines left abandoned that managed to survive the forest fire, and even thrive. Tasked with challenges they've never faced before, an unforgiving Yellowstone wilderness, and just maybe the will to survive, they must band together if they hope to survive the challenges that await them. ────────── We offer-Give aways -Moderation -Forums with character centered posts -POC and LGBTQ+ safe place -Understanding of mental health struggles -Beginner and Advanced spaces! -Script, Paragraph, Novella, and RPG channels! - 16+ Community -Join us and see the world that awaits- discord.gg/Jc2pw8aWdN
